Haas on verge of $3m R360 defection

Payne Haas is reportedly close to signing a mega deal with rebel rugby competition R360 in what would be a major blow to the Brisbane Broncos and the NRL.

Reports Haas is considering a bombshell $3 million a season offer to join the rebel competition, an offer that far exceeds anything he would receive in the NRL.

It is understood the lucrative contract would also include tax incentives.

This would be a blow but I think NRL has already gotten the best out of him and it'll piss off the best Rugby players if he's getting 3, 4, 5 x more than Haas.

Though might have implications for us keeping Flegler.

We need to keep him because Frank Molo and Kaufusi are both near the end of their careers and Saifiti only a year or 2 max after them.

Redcliffe junior Cody Hunter signed with promoted Super League club York Knights.

I just want to say I agree with Mat Rogers on Tino. For the money he is paid, he has done very little for the Titans. Now he is making a noise about a get-out clause.

Titans were (kind of) the team I followed before the Dolphins.

His manager got real edgy on that one Rogers works for radio and is on podcasts he doesn't hold a role at Titans. I thought the reaction was crazy and shows that Rogers hit the right notes. Looks like Hannay is trying to put the cleaners through the joint and start over again good move.

Red Red Tino just re signed with Titans knocked back Politis and Meninga
I wouldnt've re-signed him..I mean he was already signed but I would've encouraged him to leave if another club was willing to pick up 100% of his salary but don't really care one way or another now. I don't support them anymore. I'd just prefer they beat the Broncos.

Sorry I should have rephrased that he activated the clause in his contract until the end of 2030 when another clause appears before 2033 :)
