Kristian Woolf slams Katoa debate, calls for NRL concussion review

Can I just say, and keep in mind I have just read his quotes and didn't hear the whole interview, meaning context may have been missed by myself. well said Boss.

Whether he is write or wrong in his views isn't my focus here. Its how he speaks as a leader of our club and the game. I love his actions, words and honesty surrounding the situation, and its a good side of his leadership at the club. I think young men are likely to follow his lead. I love that he seems to lead by example and actions, rather then blowing up or leading an expletive tirade.

Bennett made a career of turn young boys into men, its why he is successful and why team play for him as a manager. He is more about the shaping of people then the coaching of footballers. That's the key to success i reckon with NRL coaches.

I see a bit of this in this situation and in comments made about Woolf.

Again, Ive only read quotes and I am not in the dressing room. I could be wrong here. However, from where a fan sits, off-field I like what I see.

I agree though I think he's wrong on this particular issue. The trainers fucked up big time!

I want to know who the defence coach is. Is it his brother? Last year due to the number of injuries he had an excuse even though it shouldn't have been as bad as it was. But in the trials it looked like they have picked up where they left off with the defence.

Ive heard James Graham talk very highly of woolfy as a real presence without anger. Apparently he is into Jiu Jitsu, and a workmate told me woolfy was his teacher back in highschool up north and he was into boxing back then and just as imposing, again without anger.

Jammer also talks about the first gf in the at Helens run, woolfy shows one tackle where Wigan force an error and start carrying on and baking the attacking player. After this video he just says "you can't let that happen". And off they go to win 3 in a row or something.

Other thing is his connection and cultural knolwedge of the Pacific nations. If anyone knows anything about olsen Philipana you will know that coaches who understood the values of Pacific nation people actually got the best out of them, and woolfy has as much of an advantage in that field as you can get being the long standing Tongan coach.

Nothing about him worries me in the slightest. It's just how high is his ceiling with this team, which will require a couple years to find.
