  • Herbie in England team
  • Naufahu Whyte, Isaako and JMK in NZ team
  • Kurt D in Fiji team
  • Frank Molo in Samoa team
Not bad at all considering how many of ours are unavailable through injury.

Whyte with Roosters.

Knowles is in England team too.

Isaako named on wing and JMK at hooker. First time JMK has been named in starting side he played 2 Tests off the bench prior to Dolphins.

Molo on bench for Samoa.

Donoghoe named at 5/8 for Fiji.

Tonga or England don't play this week.

Last week Trai Fuller the star for the PM's XIII scoring 4 tries on the wing.

least hes playing his preferred position eh
Warrington fans want him on the first plane to Australia just perhaps Ricky Stuart was right all along.

England's only 2 world class players are Herbie and Lewis and their best forward is Knowles.

I'm not happy Bulldogs have signed O'Sullivan I rate Sexton much better.

Woolf never coached Williams he coached against Williams.

He played 21 games year for Warrington all bar one at 5/8 didn't play after the Round 24 loss to Salford of all teams hahahahaha.

Ricky Stuart didn't not rate George Williams. They fell out, as a number of people do with Ricky apparently largely due to his wife hating Canberra, as a lot of people do.

But yeah, I agree he's a really strange signing. Would've been good for the first 2 years before Katoa was ready for first grade every week but not now.

I'm aware it was fall out and I'm saying Ricky Stuart is in the right.

Dolphins have regenerated their squad nicely and are now bringing up a new generation of players through which in turn makes them just give that bit extra for the club rather than collecting a pay cheque. Whilst not all signings have yet delivered outcomes they haven't broken a team this one will do just that.

Williams has struggled badly at Warrington he's not the player he was when at Wigan and by the time he gets to Dolphins he'll be 32 and he'll want the limelight over Katoa not work as second to Katoa. You'll see in this Ashes Series just how far behind the pace Williams is compared to Herbie, Lewis and the Australian players.

lol , shaun is one the best coaches going round and even though hes had limited game time because of the injury ,

i never once said he had been coached by woolf , i said he would known his capabilities in super league

he had a falling out with ricky, as he got ok for going back home during covid , after not seeing family for 14 odd months then media turned up a bs story that he was going to rival club thats why they had falling out

end the day woolf wants him so that all that matters we loose kodi who we got as a full time 6 in squad now no one as they wont want jake there and john aint a 6

A bit off topic but I thought the NRL did a good thing regarding the new Rugby Yawnion competition. If they want to sign players from the NRL, there needs to be a lot of compensation for the clubs who have spent a lot of money developing them into the players they are.

I forgot these games were even on which was disappointing because especially the NZ-Samoa game was as I would've expected, very good. Just wanted to say, Kurt Donoghue just keeps getting better.

LEGEND’S HIGH PRAISE FOR VERSATILE STAR

There weren’t too many players across the league who improved as much as Kurt Donoghoe did in 2025.

In his third year of NRL, the hard hitting Donoghoe made the Dolphins’ No. 13 his own in the absence of Max Plath.

The versatile 23-year-old was mostly used off the bench to begin the year and brought onto the field as either a hooker or another middle forward.

Donoghoe took control of the starting lock forward role in Round 14 and remained in that position for the rest of the season. It was a role he relished as he ended the year as arguably one of the form 13s in the competition.

Not only was he a tackling machine, but he averaged over 90 running metres a game since taking over the starting lock forward role

He also formed a strong combination in the middle of the field with Dolphins halves Isiaya Katoa and Kodi Nikorima.

Once again, Donoghoe was picked for Fiji in this year’s Pacific Championships. He played five-eighth in the opener against the Cook Islands.

After having a hand in one of Jahream Bula’s four first half tries, Fox League’s Cooper Cronk gave Donoghoe a glowing endorsement.

“The ability for him to play through that 13, and I know there’s only one Isaah Yeo, but I tell you what, keep your eye on Kurt Donoghoe,” Cronk said.

“I think he will be a very good player in the No. 13 jersey for the Dolphins going forward.”

It remains to be seen who will play lock for the Dolphins when Max Plath is fully fit, but it appears Cronk believes it should be Donoghoe who is tasked with the role going forward.

Whoever ends up winning the job to start the 2026 season, Kristian Woolf has a nice problem on his hands with a couple of burgeoning players in Plath and Donoghoe who both offer so much versatility.

Red Red NZ v Samoa was one of the best games of the year. Penrith have unearthed a gem in Casey McLean. Molo was sensational for Samoa off the bench he outplayed Papalii & Paulo only real support for Haas, Isaako had his good & horror moments & JMK was classy until a broken thumb ended his game at HT.

Tonga v Samoa at Suncorp this Sunday will be a real cracking game. If you’re in Brisbane worth attending I was hoping to go but we got too many at work on holidays ATM.

Australia v Herbie, Knowles & Mikey Lewis not so much 17 on 3 is a mismatch.

I'm a fan of JMK but once again, there are concerns about his durability for someone playing in the middle.

Which again highlights why posting best 1-17's is pointless especially as a lot of Dolphins forwards as good as they can be don't show great durability.

JMK is a very fine player but soon will come a time when Plath or Fineanganofo are playing a lot more 9.

I was really happy with Molo's performance I wanted to see how he went coming on as part of the rotation he played a lot better than Papalii and Paulo he was the best middle after Haas for Samoa.
