Club DNA

Go look what Saifiti had to say about him, his attitude and family. Bennett ticks these boxes before signing people.

We dont see the work Bennett puts in.

Trust me, to Bennett, Katoa was a sure thing.

Clubs like the Dragons throw darts in desperation. Make stupid moves. Fancy hiring Millward as a recruitment manager because his dad is a chairman, to replace the best recruitment guy the game has seen. That isnt just risky, its negligent and self interested, not to mention against most corp codes.

What did Saifiti say about who?

I think Ivan Cleary is the best coach. Shane Flanagan is good except for his massive blind-spot. I'm surprised someone from above hasn't taken it (that blind spot) out of his hands.

Wayne is a good judge but he's made a few rather large blunders. Didn't want Cam Smith or Thurston early on in their careers.
i think you will find Cameron didn't go to broncos ( and yes wayne wanted him ) because he knew cameron wouldnt want sit on bench for the money he wanted )

as for thurston he did like him but was convinced by club n agents he was to small same thing at dogs

pretty sure you find if they take kyle outta the club club be the same even removing shane as well

He commented yesterday about Katoa, being a professional, not drinking, doing any dodgy shit, coming from a good family who uphold all those good beliefs from working hard and clean. Hadn't seen anyone at that age be on his level off field wise in the game. Thats all paraphrasing because I can't find the article.

Bennett had met him and his family, and would have know that before signing him.

I remember a story I was told about Bennett releasing an ex-player because he didn't like the look of his eyes. That he didn't trust him as a result.

He doesn't leave any t uncrossed when it comes to signing a player.

I hope that isn't true because honestly, it would be a bit ridiculous.

It is 100% true. The player was Mick Devere. WB said that he had lost the "fire" in his eyes and wasn't as committed as he once was.
Seems a bit extreme to judge someone by the look in his eyes. But I know he's ultra conservative. He didn't like Wendell wearing earrings. That might be part of the reason why he hasn't won anything in a lot of years.

Good luck to Bennett. He's now an opposition coach.

He seems to change with the times pretty well.
