What's new

2026 Squad

Woolf has stated to a reporter this morning that Hammer will be the FB come Rd 1. Donoghoe will be wearing the #9 and Flegs will be coming off the bench.
I congrats Flegler at the coffee shop yesterday. He is looking fit and ready to go. Nice chap too, worth getting behind and supporting, the type of person I want at my club.

Frankie Molo is staring down a three week vacation. It's a shame because he was excellent last night except for that one brainless indiscretion. 2026 is shaping up to be another season where we will fail to see the full side on the park (or even close). Currently eight players on the injury list and now we can include one on the suspension tally.

Agree, we spoke about it in relation to Kaufusi.

We need to stop missing games for stupid reasons.

1 Hammer
2 Isaako
3 Averillo
4 Herbie
5 Cobbo
6 KNik
7 Katoa
8 Kaufusi
9 Donga
10 Gilbert

I like that. Fuller is an attacking genius but questions remain on the other side of his game.

What we can say so far is that due to the drama at the Cowboys and Broncos, Dolphins are really flying under the radar. Not sure if that's good or bad. Win this weekend with our first and second choice hookers and we might not be flying under the radar for long.

Just the way you want it if we are to play in September

DOLPHINS

ENCOURAGING TREND: HERBIE’S WORLD
The strike in the Dolphins’ outside backs remains their greatest weapon, spearheaded by Herbie Farnworth. He has 32 offloads and is averaging 150 metres per game with 61 tackle busts, making him the most difficult centre in the NRL to bring to ground.

ALARMING SIGN: KATOA CORNERED
Opposition defences are suffocating Isaiya Katoa. Teams are rushing the young halfback and it’s having a negative impact on the Dolphins’ completion rate — currently the worst in the NRL. He’s their most important player and they need to find a way to get him more time on the ball.

Teams rushing our half back isn't having a massive impact on completion rates. If whoever wrote this watched our games they would realise, stupid offloads, unforced drops and lack of discipline are the major cause. Forced pressure on the half back in relation to errors would be a very small percentage of our drops.

Not trying to defend Katoa, because he hasn't been good. However, I think he would be better with forwards going forward better, lower errors putting us in the red zone more often and giving him more space to work his magic. TO the above point, teams are able to pressure him because we are under pressure due to the poor completion rate, not the other way around.

Further to the above in relation to Herbie.

GET A FUCKING DEAL DONE!

Id go so far as to say he is the best player in the comp at the moment. Yes, more influential then Cleary. We arent top or winning, however Herbie is by far and away most of the reason we come back into games out of pressure. He runs like a prop - cant be put down, speed to burn, phenomenal player.

Compare him to the darling of the league Crita. Crita is a literal statue compared to Herbie, Bulldogs moving players to get him more involved. If I were the Bulldogs coach, Id hand Crita a tape of Herbie, and tell him get involved like this dude.

💯 Seems very unfair to single him out.
