Pouniu is on the top 30? Not a development contract?

There's a lot of misinformation out there about Elijah Rasmussen. He's a prop, he turned 20 in 2025 and he's from New Zealand he was picked up around the same time as Tevita Naufahu and John Fineanganofo. Rasmussen played in the NRL Pre-Season Challenge against North Queensland earlier this year.

Extended Highlights

Team Lists

In that trial only two regular NRL players played in that game being Kurt Donoghoe at fullback and Jake Averillo at 5/8 who played a combined total of 2 NRL games in those positions during the season.

Tevita Naufahu played centre in this game and Aublix Tawha was at second-row both would later make their NRL debuts.

Max Feagai placed on waivers. He has been claimed by the GC Titans.
Wasnt good enough for where we want be be. Wish him all the best.

On a side note. Before i moved up to Qld, i knew the guy that brought them to the dragons, along with Saab and a few others. Had massive wraps on him and his twin, more so on Saab.

Id ask him how all the youngsters were going as he was with Head when they coached the dragons lower grades.

Its a shame the twins didnt kick on.

This fella was a great guy and a good judge

Dolphins have 3 players in their Top 30 (currently at 28) yet to make their NRL/ESL debut and another 2 players with 8 games between them.

Two of the Development players were part of the Capras 2025 QCup side.

Is there anyone out of Nonu (wing, centre), Rasmussen (prop), Pouniu (second-row, centre), Symonds (prop, lock) or Fineanganofo (hooker, lock, 5/8) to make a debut in 2026?

And how much will we see of Naufahu (wing) or Su'a (prop) next season?

There's always someone who comes through to play NRL in 2025 it was Tawha and Naufahu whilst Hola played NRL from a TNT deal, Nonu went from Academy deal to twice NRL 18th man and Fineanganofo was twice selected in 22.

Reports from those at training that young prop Elijah Rasmussen is going really well and his fitness has improved out of sight may well be a breakout player in 2026.

It will be a hard position to crack , we are stacked in the forwards if everyone is fit. Might go have a look once the weather cools down.

As we witnessed last year, you can never have too many forwards on the books. The Dolphins have a very strong roster. With a minimal injury list in 2026 (we can only hope), the results will reflect that.
The development of Su'a and Rasmussen up front very important

When he replaced Mulholland Stgeorge went to shit.

Above i was talking about heads assistant.

Funnily enough. I also spoke to Mulhollands offsider a few times. I wont mention names. He told me a few things about some of thr people replacing them. All were true in the long run. Suffice to say, the club turned to dogshit
