What's new

2026 pre-season

Titans are just taking it much more seriously than us. I guess their coach has made it clear his mind for the best 19 in round 1 is far from settled. Their halfback Harrison looks like a player. Katoa 2.0. Is he a QLDer?

Not too much to say. Titans have defended well but for us, I thought when each of Naufahu and Cobbo decided to get involved, it looked like the Titans were troubled. Need to give them more ball. Especially for Cobbo. That'll be on Schneider who honestly looks pretty ordinary, and/or Katoa.

It's a good lesson for us going forward. Better to let in a try than go to the bin when the game is this fast.

Cobbo looking lazy again to be honest. he's doing 'just enough'. Schneider isn't anything special. as i said before can knock over a drop goal in the dying mins but thats about all i'd rely on him for.

Great to see fleggs cross the line.

I guess it's as you would expect from a trial. It was only that first 20 min of the second half we had anything close to our B team on the field. Right now, it's the C team.

No real worries, i thought Gilbert looked a bit too tired after 20 mins but another week or so he'll be good. Fleggs great return. Cobbo i'm still not convinced he's got the attitude. I saw a show about the chicago bulls and a guy was saying Jordan could turn it on and off at will and he never turned it off. Cobbo barely turns it on.

Some of the Development players did well nothing to worry about really. just nice to see a game after a few months of wind and rain.

Most important takeways from the loss:
  • That back up halfback Fien is way better than Schneider.
  • Halves have to make sure Cobbo gets more ball and Cobbo needs to go looking for it more.
  • Naufahu > Issaako and that 18 year-old centre Brian Pouniu was way better than Cobbo.
  • Gilbert got through about 60 min uninjured.
  • Flegler got though 20 uninjured but I think he needs to lose a couple of KGs to get back to where he was.

that was same issue last season most the backs had to go looking for it hence the run metres from trai , cobbo was brilliant in what he got , but think jmk and kodi was missed by izzy, going be really intresting been at the game really thought fien and garton were head n shoulders above the young ones. that gash morgie got was inpressive.

One thing i notice we don't do a lot of is second phase offloads

I watched a show where ex players were discussing Jordan v James as the goat.

None really spoke about Lebron.

Jordan was on another planet when it came to sport. His competitiveness was outer worldly.

I just know Fedor Emelianenko is the greatest sportsman most people haven't heard of.
