I think Fuller isn't defensively sound either. Thats just an opinon. So i wouldn't be swapping them based on defensive issues.

Attacking wise they are good foils.

Speaking for the attack, Fuller must be in the team but frankly speaking, his bomb defusal and defence is way behind Hammer.

In defence he puts his body on the line, drives with the shoulder and etc but due to his size, big players fall over the line when it comes to online defence and fall on their front to get a quick play the ball in general play.

But I'm certainly not writing him off. As far as I'm concerned, he's right in the mix for round 1. It could be:
  1. Fuller
  2. Isaako
  3. Hammer
  4. Herbie
  5. Cobbo
But I think:
  1. Hammer
  2. Isaako
  3. Cobbo
  4. Herbie
  5. Naufahu

Barrett never put Averillo at 6 he put him at 7 and done before Gus arrived. Where Gus over ruled was not putting Flanagan at 7 in early 2022 where Gus wanted a Burton Averillo halves combo to start with.

Averillo's defence is at 6 is better than Nikorima's and Averillo's defence at centre is not good but Cobbo's defence at centre is all over the shop go watch the 2024 game in Round 26 where Averillo and Farnworth picked Cobbo apart.

Herbie and Bostock only two missing the latter still out.

If Averillo starts at 6 that leaves a spot for at least one of Fuller or Naufahu :)

Cobbo has struggled at centre in the past and struggled at a club he wanted to be at and loved.

I didn't think about Kodi going to 9 and Averillo to 6 but now I do..... I've read much worse suggestions.

I'm not a fan of cobbo as I've said before i think he's bone idle and will be the 40yo guy at reunions crying into his chips about what he could have been. He definitely has potential and when he's in the mood is one of the very best but more often than not he just doesn't seem bothered.

Yeah have faith in woolfy. He would have backed himself to make cobbo into the player we can all imagine.

My only worry with this is how much slack the middle rotation has to pick up in defence since I can't see Kodi making 50 tackles a game like our big 3 hooker options can and will do every game.

He was lazy at the Broncos. Very lazy but being dropped and now at a new club will hopefully motivate him to be much less lazy.

he shouldn’t need to make 50 tackles a game if we play to our potential. Another player who can and has played hooker is Ray stone

Me too. I think Nonu might push for inclusion early in the year too. Bostock will also be back. Who is going to miss out!?

Perhaps being told actually you're not going to get a spot on potential alone and being dropped has had the desired impact. Just needs to be kept on a short leash and occasionally woolf will need to give him 8 lace holes.

think its more in right head space since got outta the crowd he was hanging around ( that werent the bronco team mates ) with ex broncos in the side the faith woolf has in him and dropping 10 kgs we see spark back just hoping we hold on to him


don't think any of our young backs could do much better on defence
