Round 8: Dolphins vs NZ Warriors

They say it's an effort to "spark the attack". Fair enough but I think if he's looking to "spark the attack" the first place he has to look is Plath at dummy half. Anyway, we will see soon enough. Hopefully next week JMK and Donoghue will be available.

I don't know what he is going to do about hooker. Is he going to have Plath play there and then bring on Ray Stone to give him a rest? Nothing against those 2. I rate them both highly, just not as hookers. Or specifically, dummy half players.

Round 8: Dolphins vs NZ Warriors

If Donga is still out, he might go with Averillo at 5/8.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

If they only gave them away like they used to give away penalties it would be ok IMO but they don't.

Round 8: Dolphins vs NZ Warriors

Not sure how long Donoghue is out for but if he's still out, I presume it'll be the same 17. Much improved performance but need to get a few wins fast. Warriors are currently sitting second on the table so it doesn't really get more difficult than last week and this week.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

Not using it as an excuse. I think it evened out on Friday. But a lot of the time it just seems like the ref decides, "now would be a good time to give a 6 again."

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

Again, in their defence, the 6 again calls seem so arbitrary. I know we got a few go our way in the second half but still, I really hate it. Good idea but the arbitrary nature of it is infuriating.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

I was encouraged by the defence in the first half. I know we were 18 down but compare that defence to the Manly game or a few other games this year and their try right on the buzzer.

Our centres have dragged us back into the game.

Thanks Greg Alexander for mentioning Katoa. He's had a very ordinary year so far.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

I was just about to say the positive is that we are still in the game at halftime. Down 18 now and not so sure. Not against their defence.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

That second Penrith try was a bit easy but down a man against Penrith.....

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

Disappointing to let in the first try though to be honest, so far the defence has been pretty good.

Round 7: Dolphins v Penrith Panthers

I'm not getting my hopes up. Penrith are going to be fired up after last week. I just want to see much improved defence. I'm so sick of this slack defence. Last year I thought it was just because of all the injuries. Now I'm not so sure.
