Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

That was a terrifying head knock to Bostock. Smashed into the ground. I was worried he was dead for a moment.

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

I agree Hooper makes stuff up but in this case, there is a lot of smoke for there to be no fire. Aitken is a case in point and also the way Souths are widely reported to have been trying to get JMK. I'd like to see that from Wolff too but don't like Wayne planning for Souths while still...

    Recruitment and retention

I would have liked to keep him for at least 1 more year. But not more than 2. I wonder if Souths are going to offer him more than 2 years.

Who was? Johnston? I heard he didn't talk at all and it pissed off a lot of their supporters. I don't know it, just heard the rumour.
  5. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

I'm sure he's worth a lot but according to the Courier Mail a couple of months back, Politis is the richest owner. Or CEO or whatever his position is. He sinks plenty of money into the Roosters. Lots of high paying jobs for former Roosters players after they retire.

I think it's changed since. As far as I know Brian Johnston got vicious hate for not taking a harder line against the NRL in regard to de Belin. Not sure, just what I heard.
  7. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Interesting. So Politis owns majority stake in Eastern Suburbs RLFC which owns Sydney Roosters?
  8. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Not sure how other clubs are travelling financially but we are in a strong position. Redcliffe are loaded. That's why we were picked over other teams.

Dolphins team: Trai Fuller Jamayne Isaako Jake Averillo Herbie Farnworth Jack Bostock Kodi Nikorima Isaiya Katoa Jesse Bromwich Jeremy Marshall-King Kenny Bromwich Connelly Lemuelu Euan Aitken Max Plath Josh Kerr Mark Nicholls Ray Stone Tevita Pangai Junior No surprises
  10. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

A star player knocking back powerhouse foundation club South Sydney for expansion minnows the Dolphins? It was unheard of just 18 months ago but now it’s transpired with gun hooker Jeremy Marshall-King rejecting the Rabbitohs to pen a long-term extension at Redcliffe. The Dolphins have...

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

Tevita Pangai Jnr on track to make his Dolphins debut Tevita Pangai Jnr quipped Wayne Bennett told him he loved him but still sought assurances Pangai’s head and heart were fully invested in his latest comeback. The flighty forward had his first training session with the Dolphins on Monday and...

    State of Origin 2024

NSW team is much better for game 2. Moses is much better than Hynes. Murray much better than McInees. Mitchell much better than Suaalii. Though not sure about Connor Watson on the bench. Don't they have a better utility player? Jake Trbojevic is also massively overrated.
  13. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

If Wolff wants him, we are in a very good position to retain him.
  14. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Very unlikely they would even try to outbid us with eye to playing him as a utility. Unless Wolff sees him as a utility as well and is only willing to pay him $********
  15. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Tigers aren't going to want him. They are trying to offload halves.
  16. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Like who? Maybe the Sydney Roosters? Would they want Niko? Usually they are in the market for bigger names when it comes to the spine.

    Round 15 - Dolphins v Cronulla Sharks

I'd go with that but I think Herbie made a number of tough carries also and was a constant menace for their defence. 3. Herbie 2. Aitken 1. JMK 1 is hard. I was going to go with Katoa but JMK got trough a lot of work. I think Kenny B was good as well. Best game I've seen from him in a long time.

    Round 15 - Dolphins v Cronulla Sharks

Better team won but I'm still furious about that 5~7 min period where in the refs eyes, we just couldn't do anything right.
