They don't have a single player over 900k and three players in the 800-900k range.
They signed Leo Thompson for much less than what other clubs offered.
It's not our job to bail out the Bulldogs. If they want us to take him, they'll have to pay half for the duration of his contractual period.I just don't think Dolphins have showed much interest for Oloapu certainly not for 2025 otherwise it all be a done deal now.
I don't disagree with you that it's not the Dolphins job. I just don't think the Dolphins are overly interested. Don't become a Geoffrey parrot you seem quite reasonable. It's not our job to bail out the Bulldogs. If they want us to take him, they'll have to pay half for the duration of his contractual period.
I don't even know what that last sentence means.I don't disagree with you that it's not the Dolphins job. I just don't think the Dolphins are overly interested. Don't become a Geoffrey parrot you seem quite reasonable.
he thnks hes smart by using my real name ( he aint even a dolphins fan just a stupid nrl podcaster ) hes just one of them brainwashed dogs fan stiring the potI don't even know what that last sentence means.
Reading between the lines, between all the Bulldogs recruits, what Phil Gould said on social media despite him already being medically cleared and fact he's hanging around Redcliffe, suggests to me Bulldogs are trying to clear salary cap space but Woolf is playing hardball with them. Demanding Dogs pick up more of his salary than they are offering at present.
I think it's a good move. We aren't in any dire need of a 5/8 but if a good, young one comes along, be crazy not to get him for the right price.
Ok. I'm not party to the personal issues between you two but definitely, Woolf shouldn't cave. Seems they need to free up cap space way more than we need a 5/8.he thnks hes smart by using my real name ( he aint even a dolphins fan just a stupid nrl podcaster ) hes just one of them brainwashed dogs fan stiring the pot
Yep. Dodgy. That medical retirement is a way to dodge him being allocated to the cap.Is it true or just a rumour? Seems very strange Phillip Ronald is trying the medically retire him on social media when he's passed his medical tests.
Apparently the NRL rejected the request.Yep. Dodgy. That medical retirement is a way to dodge him being allocated to the cap.
Because even the NRL couldn't justify letting it through. Tells you how brilliant Gould, I mean dodgy, I mean brilliant, I mean I have no idea really, they are at managing the cap.Apparently the NRL rejected the request.
they aint they f.... lying he says reed not been shopped i know differentBecause even the NRL couldn't justify letting it through. Tells you how brilliant Gould, I mean dodgy, I mean brilliant, I mean I have no idea really, they are at managing the cap.
Melbourne have done that with Christian Welch they found a way to get him paid for the next two years. Wests Tigers now trying it with Justin Olam he will be mysteriously recovered for PNG NRL side. Souths done it previously with Sam Burgess and Greg Inglis.Yep. Dodgy. That medical retirement is a way to dodge him being allocated to the cap.
lol and you belive what gus says ffsMelbourne have done that with Christian Welch they found a way to get him paid for the next two years. Wests Tigers now trying it with Justin Olam he will be mysteriously recovered for PNG NRL side. Souths done it previously with Sam Burgess and Greg Inglis.
Whatever the terms of agreement between Phil Gould and Oloapu's manager Matt Adamson have come too will come off the Bulldogs salary cap over the next two years.
Bulldogs are at this point 700k under the cap the problem they have is an excess of players Gus keeps signing and discovering players with complete ease I wish Dolphins had the same ease. Releasing Oloapu gets them to 30 in the Top 30. They can't promote players like Jack Underhill and Jethro Rinakama who are both emerging stars. Rinakama was one of the Bulldogs best in the trials and it's only a matter of time before Underhill is playing State of Origin for Queensland. Gus has got them on deals for 2026 they're not in the Top 30 or Development for 2025.
Dolphins have the same problems with LJ Nonu and Josh Allen they can only keep them at bay outside the 30 and Developement for so long.
One thing I don't disagree with you on is the injury side of things and it appears now the NRL refused the medical retirement hence the agreement for release from contract. I believe he's been moved on because they have too many players signed not a cap issue they just have too many players.lol and you belive what gus says ffs
go ask him why 9 top 30 players been shopped secretly to clubs yet he shuts media from saying it ( and 3 have more than 2 years to go)
you haven't been in nrl long if you belive everything that comes outta his mouth
1 they aint under cap
2 they cleared him of injurys ( so cant medically retire someone
stop drinking the toilet water gus gives you at the agm

Lets see if the Dolphins were really interested in the first place. Woolf went full on to get Hunt to play 5/8 now he has the chance for Oloapu it's an open slate.
