Off Topic - Other Clubs

And there go the doggies. Back outside of the 8.

When was the last time a club won it from 9th?
Honestly, in a knockout game, I'd prefer we play the Dogs than Manly or Cowboys. Manly with Tom Turbo. Without, I don't have a preference.

I think last nights game showed that the Bulldogs halves pairing isnt that good, and couldnt close it out after being 10 points up

and to be honest if we were fouth we have panthers

He's well past his best and going downhill fast. Poor decision by the Chiefs.
Most of their signings are really poor.

Can't judge some of the Perth signings as people would have said WHO when Dolphins signed Donoghoe, Bostock, Plath, Graham, Fuller and Hubner.

they going need few years like us to rebuild a team after the older heads go

The top 4 in 2025 are all going to miss the playoffs in '26. I didn't see that coming at the start of the year. I wonder if that's ever happened before.

1991 to 1992

The teams who finished 1-4 all missed the semis Penrith, Manly, Norths and Canberra out replaced by Brisbane, Illawarra, St George and Newcastle.

Wests were outright 5th in 1992 and in 1991 won the play off for 5th (6th on F/A).

Penrith missing out in 1992 doesn’t need to be said the biggest tragedy a club has ever endured during a season.

Canberra got hit with salary cap penalties for the 1992 season.

That’s the only other time.
