Round 4: Dolphins vs Brisbane Broncos

WTF is Flegler doing? Try putting the ball under your arm and just running hard for once?

First half standeouts:
  • Herbie, once again
  • Gilbert
  • Finefui
Need more from Lemuelu who looked dangerous in his few touches.

We left a couple of tries out there. Can't afford that against this Broncos team.

Don't you hate it when a player has too much pride to admit he made a mistake and instead opt for a losing challenge.

Last tackles have been our undoing for 3 years! Don't just pass to a forward for a hit up on the last tackle, SSF!

WTF is going on with Flegler? Put the ball under your fuking arm and run or retire.

I thought we were the better team for the most part but jeez we need a hooker to be a threat from dummy half and need our wingers to take kicks on the full!

Flegler was the worst player on the field. Game has speeded up (in my opinion too much) to the same extent he has bulked up and slowed down. But he doesn't use the extra bulk by running hard into the defence then looking for an offload but by stepping and jigging and looking for an offload.

I'm 64..nth Qld.. I remember th plath name.
Th integrity of refs has fallen in th

Dolphins got ripped off.
1st 3rounds have game changing.. questionable decisions.
One question. Does th bunker wait for th commentary team?
Th Bunker should have fullas who are not paid
..by th nrl.

If I accept the decisions
then what happens on GF day?
. another cowboy hand of God?
who wins?
we're being steered mate.. to the Bookies.
We th fans need a neutral Bunker.
(preferably a not James Bracy character.)

lol after 4 games post injury he did 80 less run metres than fin gilberts figures were similar they wont be at peak fitness yet what more you expect of them similar stats to bris bane forwards

Disappointing but give credit where due, Broncos played well.
3. Herbie
2. Gilbert
1. Finefeuiaki

Finefeuiaki has improved so much this year. He's a menace in attack and defence. The way he puts them on the back foot with his carries will make JMK a menace in attack when he is back.

2. Herbie
1. Isaako

The Dolphins had enough chances to win this game comfortably. They had 53% possession, 58% territory and 2100+ running metres. You usually don't lose when putting up these sort of numbers.

Unfortunately, execution and a high error count severely let them down. Give the Broncos credit. They scrambled well and took advantage of their chances. I'm not overly disappointed by that performance.

They have a few little things they need to fix. They will win more than they lose and should comfortably grab a top 8 spot. It took them about 6 rounds to get on a roll last year. Hopefully, some supreme form is right around the corner as they have a tough schedule coming up after the bye.

Broncos played as well as I've seen in a long time. Including the GF where Melbourne's defence on Walsh was subpar no matter how good he is. The fact they only put the game to bed with a late try against the run of play and via our mistake gives me a lot of confidence going forward.
