Why The Dolphins?

2 players aint going make that team both them are overrated and really was disappointed in a lt of knights players last season and dont see those two changing much

They will field 17 players but an 18th man in every game. You mean one very good player, possibly the best in the game and another who is overrated but still very good plus 15 others. Unless the 15 others can hardly catch a ball, I think they won't be bad. They have Bradman Best and Tyson Frizzell as well. I don't know who else they have but I think they aren't too bad.

Fletcher Sharpe is an absolute gun but like Jaxon Purdue not sure 5/8 his spot.

Sandon Smith should be their halfback and Harrison Graham should be hooker that's how I go but I don't think Justin Holbrook will go that way,

It wasnt long go the knights went on a run to make the finals. They actually extended the coach at the time.

Any team with Ponga in it could surprise.

Dragons on the other hand have no players anywhere near Pongas ability, let alone Brown.

They had an injury toll even worse than us last year. Including Ponga out for most of the season. Take arguably the ebst player in the game out of any team and it will struggle. I'm not saying I think they will be good. I don't think they will make the 8. But I doubt they will be close to the spoon.

oh i gwtr that its more that brown n ponga get injured for long periods and other players there there bottom half of the side struggled , just cant see them changing that

Thats a great point. You take a good player out of any DECENT team. They struggle. If you were to take any player out of thr dragons team, it seems it would effect them much. Thats how you know they are spoon contenders.

I guess you might call Herbie a marquee, as you saw how much worse we were without him, but a marquee player in the spine and one of Ponga's ability is on another level.

I'm surprised the people above Flanagan at St. George haven't stepped in to demand his son is dropped. You can't expect Flanagan to do it who no doubt sees his boy playing and thinks he's the best halfback in the competition.

Only once the Dolphins first ever game outside of Queensland Tesi Niu scored a hat trick.

Saifiti played for Knights and Keeley was their 18th.

Nikorima first game for Dolphins club player 19.

I went to that game there were only a handful of us in the 20k crowd supporting Dolphins.

You have a good memory. I remember that game I think in 2023. They were without Ponga and we were dominating but bombed literally about 5 tries and lost by 1 or 2 points. It turned out to be vital in the context of making, or in the end, not making the finals.

I only noted Keeley was 18th man for them when I re-watched the highlights LOL.

I went to both the Raiders and Knights games in 2023 as part of a road trip where after leaving Redcliffe on Sunday morning so missed the wild storm that hit Redcliffe later that day. On the way back I stayed at Toowoomba, Burleigh and Port Macquarie left Port on Friday to go to the Knights game back in Sydney late Friday.

Raiders game at Reddy was one of my favourite games.

Not sure why interest in certain players annoys you so much.

Also annoying that I started this thread to find out why so many people follow the newest club in the NRL, not bicker about players.

I'm from the area and was off Broncos for a while. Was really happy when it was announced Redcliffe were going to be the new team. I just wish they give us a name. Call us Moreton Bay Dolphins. A huge and rapidly growing area. An Ipswich team isn't far away. Let them compete with the Broncos for juniors and sponsorship and we will just have Moreton Bay and north to somewhere around Rockhampton.
