Hopefully Hughes is out though apparently he went off at halftime yesterday due to precaution only. Ray Stone will be available. You would think he'd come in for Kerr but is it wise? Maybe while Plath and Gilbert are fit, Woolf has to get used to not picking Stone. All 3 are natural locks. Gilbert in particular is like Ray Stone 2.0. Why have both in the 17?

I guess he will pick Stone. Probably more suited to playing the Storm than Kerr. Remember St. George beat the Storm when they were without Hughes. He's more important for them than Grant and Munster these days.

I was trying to remember who said having them 3 together is too much. I said elsewhere Stone is a backup player good to have in a 30 not a week to week top 17 player.

Kerr offers the Dolphins pack and interchange something different. Last week the Dolphins bench of Donoghoe, Kerr and Lemuelu all gave the Dolphins something different and allowed the Dolphins to dominate after a good defensive start.

Their tail is up at the moment , a win this week (hopefully) will surely further boost their confidence going forward.

Keeley, Kerr or Kenny B would be a better option than Stone with Plath and Gilbert both fit.

Dolphins team:

  1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
  2. Jamayne Isaako
  3. Jake Averillo
  4. Herbie Farnworth
  5. Jack Bostock
  6. Kodi Nikorima
  7. Isaiya Katoa
  8. Daniel Saifiti
  9. Jeremy Marshall-King
  10. Felise Kaufusi
  11. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki
  12. Tom Gilbert
  13. Max Plath

  14. Kurt Donoghoe
  15. Mark Nicholls
  16. Connelly Lemuelu
  17. Josh Kerr

  18. Ray Stone

Right call in regard to Ray Stone. With Gilbert and Plath fit, no place for Stone even though I rate him.

Both JMK and Grant are out
Even though Grant is obviously a much better hooker, I think JMK is a bigger loss for the respective teams. Because they have a very good utility who I presume is his replacement. While we'll have to move Plath which I don't agree with. I'd go with Kodi and reshuffle the backline or Harrison Graham. Plath will be sorely missed as a lock and isn't very good as a hooker.

Not a great day thus far. Failed my RAT test and the Cincy Reds lost in extra innings. My day can only get better, can't it? I have a good feeling about tonight. I'm not sure if it's because of my temp of 38+ and lack of sleep. But, I'm banking on a huge upset. It will kick-start the season to new levels if it happens.

Dolphins by 7
FTS- Plath
MOTM- Finefeuiaki.
