Big game this one. Need to show round 1 wasn't a fluke!

Dolphins v Canberra Raiders

Last week’s Dolphins team:

  1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (played well but would be even better if he ran the ball back from kick returns.)
  2. Jamayne Isaako
  3. Euan Aitken (the game was won in the forwards but centres did their job)
  4. Brenko Lee (as above)
  5. Tesi Niu (impressive!)
  6. Isaiya Katoa (as above)
  7. Sean O’Sullivan (had a blinder, in my view)
  8. Jesse Bromwich (as above)
  9. Jeremy Marshall-King (Was he MoM? If not, should have.)
  10. Jarrod Wallace
  11. Felise Kaufusi (just behind #9)
  12. Kenny Bromwich
  13. Tom Gilbert

  14. Mark Nicholls
  15. Ray Stone
  16. Kurt Donoghoe (can't afford a game like that again anytime soon.)
  17. Connelly Lemuelu
Tips: The Dolphins shocked the NRL world with a stunning victory over the Roosters in Round 1. Luckily for Wayne Bennett, none of his players suffered injuries and the master coach is set to name the same 17 with Herman Ese’ese a late pullout due to a pectoral injury.

Win this and it might already be time to start talking about the finals. The Origin period won't greatly affect the Dolphins either. Who will make it? Kafusi has retired from rep football, hasn't he?

If JMK keeps going like that, he might find himself in the NSW team.

No surprises. I forgot we have Nikorima. Not a better option than #17.

I don't know that Donoghoe was bad. It was just JMK was moving the forward pack around so well. Donoghoe made two mistakes. The forward pass was bad but the pass that went over the sideline lacked execution but the idea was right.

Dolphins v Canberra Raiders, Sunday 4.30pm

Dolphins team:

  1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Run back from kicks.)
  2. Jamayne Isaako
  3. Euan Aitken
  4. Brenko Lee
  5. Tesi Niu (Was really good. Need more of that.)
  6. Isaiya Katoa
  7. Sean O’Sullivan
  8. Jesse Bromwich
  9. Jeremy Marshall-King
  10. Jarrod Wallace
  11. Felise Kaufusi
  12. Kenny Bromwich
  13. Tom Gilbert (Ray Stone is a classic enforcer. In his absence, need more from Gilbert.)

  14. Connelly Lemuelu
  15. Mark Nicholls
  16. Mason Teague (This guy is 19. If he and Donoghoe both play well, it will be a real bonus for the depth of the team this season.)
  17. Kurt Donoghoe

  18. Poasa Faamausili
  19. JJ Collins
  20. Kodi Nikorima
  21. Anthony Milford
  22. Robert Jennings
Late mail: Bennett has handed a debut to former Panthers prodigy Mason Teague. The lock forward, who captained the Panthers SG Ball side, will come off the bench in place of Ray Stone who suffered a knee injury. Teague was highly valued by the Panthers but Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett pulled off a signing coup.

“I only spoke to Wayne once,” Teague said. “Leading up to that, I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to make the commitment to come here. But after speaking to Wayne I was pretty sure I wanted to come here. “I picked the Dolphins for a fresh start. I’ve always wanted to live coastal, especially with my girlfriend as well.”

Looks like a lot of empty seats for a sellout.
Due to the weather, a lot of people obviously stayed away. For better or worse, league fans in Aus are nowhere near as fanatical as soccer fans over there.

Don't like the round ball game personally comes from growing up in the southwest where there are no good teams.

I don't either but I like the politics when England / France / Germany play each other.
