Hi Everyone,

Just signed up and wanted to introduce myself.

Last week I walked away from the Wests Tigers after 20 years. I just couldn't do it anymore.

2285 is my postcode here in the Newy / Lake Macquarie area. I did try to make the Knights my second team but just didn't have much love for them. Their organisational decision making is on par with the Tigers IMO when they extend contracts to Adam O'Brien, or hand out 10 year deals to Dylan Brown.

I was excited when the Dolphins joined the comp under Wayne in 2023. I think the jerseys look fantastic: 2024 away & alternate, 2025 heritage, and even the warm up tees. I also really like that the name isn't location based.

With such a new history I'm already starting to go through Youtube and watch the full length replays starting from 2023 R1 v Roosters. As a new fan I like that they're yet to make finals footy as I feel like I can't be accused of bandwagoning.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and look forward to chatting with everyone moving forwards. Let me know your opinions on the pros & cons as we head into the 2026 season.

What's the artwork style of the Dolphin? Reminds me of Canadian Haida art.

Welcome along mate I jumped off the tigers in 21 same reason . It’s a good forum gets a bit heated at times , but then calms down and we all agree to disagree in the end. Phins up

I think you chose a good team. We have a serious team, coach and head office.

Though I always liked Benji as a player. I hope things turn out well for him. Just not so well it negatively effects us.

A club that is just in it to milk supporters of money and just fill a spot in the comp week in week out, with a board content on giving jobs to the boys and giving nothing back to supporters with on field talent or performance. Some clubs are a joke.

Yes but why? Why can't they get it together? In previous iterations Broncos held too much power in SE QLD and sought to destroy competitors but GC have had ample time to get it together. But it's fine. Don't really care any more. Though I still hope they beat everyone but us. Which is of course contradictory. I wish them well against every other team but us.

Welcome. I'm relatively new to the forum as well but full time fan.

I think everyone agrees the club has the right ideas and structures and gets things right more often than not. What we usually disagree with is our best 17 and who we keep and let go.

For a good idea of the club this year watch the games against the storm and the panthers from this year. Absolute class performances from our under strength team which made me incredibly proud. Rarely does this team completely fall apart or give up, which few other teams can say the same, and that's a good reason to stick with them.
