I haven't gotten any PMs at all.

    2025 Predictions.

I wouldn't have Hunt ahead of him but QLD tend to stick with veterans until the player himself makes the call.

To play prop? Shame about his inability to keep the weight off. If he could have maintained a weight at between 105~110kg, I think he could have been very good.

    2025 Predictions.

Punters are hitting reverse on the Dolphins after the departure of Wayne Bennett and the unknown factor related to first-time NRL coach Kristian Woolf. They’ve blown hard in premiership betting ($51). However, punters do see The Dolphins as a top-eight shot where they’re fourth most popular at...

Welcome return He is looking forward to seeing Tom Gilbert back at full strength and playing in the 2025 season. “I really enjoy the fact that he’s back out on the field (training), he’s looking comfortable, he’s moving well, he’s got some confidence about him. It’s great for him first and...

TBH, I'm glad we held onto Keeley rather than Hubner. Seems too small for a prop. He might get smashed if he plays first grade at Souths.

Couple of young props coming through but you are probably right.

Hope not because won't that mean Flegler isn't returning?

Herbie and Jake and all centres are usually on opposite sides. There is really no such thing as a centre combo. Just individual centres. Herbie was the best according to the NRL and I agree. Jake was defensively strong but didn't do much in attack at all. I think his spot might be 5/8 next year.

    Promising Juniors

The Dolphins have given some NRL experienced players a second shot. Towering prop Peter Hola was once a highly-rated prospect at the Cowboys who also had a crack at the Raiders, while Ethan Quai-Ward made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs. The Dolphins also have a couple of Central Queensland...

Was thinking that about Newcastle too.

    2025 Predictions.

Manly will be hard to beat. Not in any order I think top teams will be: Dolphins Manly NQ (do or die for Payten. They have a very strong squad) Melbourne Penrith Broncos are hard to predict. Could be top or bottom 4. Bulldogs to just miss the 8.

    2025 Predictions.

I don't think Bulldogs will make the top 8.

Niko is a bit of a problem in the best 17 if Plath is on the bench. But I still think he'll be on the bench cause Plath can't play in the backs. Niko is the ultimate utility. Doubt. Donoghue makes it.

Val Holmes? He'll be first picked for the Dragons. Similar to Plath for us.
  17. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

Gun = very good player. Very good player = gets picked in the best 17. We aren't talking about Origin here. In rep games, some guns miss out. Won't surprise me at all if Plath gets an Origin call up. Would be an excellent utility coming on at hooker. That might happen, might not. As far as...

Because Plath is a gun and is a certainty to be in the 17 unless injured or on rep duties.
  19. Equaliser

    Recruitment and retention

I'm really surprised @mr_c is even suggesting Plath won't be in the 17. The only thing that will keep him out is injury ................ or a rep call-up.

    Recruitment and retention

Disagree. It's a game of 17 per team these days. Blokes starting on the bench routinely play more minutes that blokes in the starting 13. Doesn't matter if Plath starts on the bench or in the run on team, he'll play a lot of minutes.
