    Recruitment and retention

I think he's a much better forward than hooker and is signed to Souths for a few years anyway.

    Recruitment and retention

It would have to be someone from the ESL or someone who is yet to play first grade.

    Recruitment and retention

Moving right along, we still have 2 or 3 slots in the top 30 available? And according to Zero tackle, we should have one more spot open for a development deal. If Averill is spending a lot of time training at 5/8 and we have Synider as a back up halfback, I can't see what positions we need to...

    Recruitment and retention

It makes sense. We all know Galvin isn't a halfback but I don't think any club signs a player for near a million a year or more, along with a transfer fee, to play out of position.

    2026 pre-season

28 is probably the number he will go with until the season starts. And will probably promote from within to fill the other 2 spots later into the season.

Every club’s off-season signings, recruitment rated DOLPHINS The Dolphins have been very astute in their recruitment over the past few years and have added another few key pieces to the puzzle. The poaching of Selwyn Cobbo from the Broncos has given Redcliffe a marquee recruit and they have also...

Good luck to Bennett. He's now an opposition coach.

    2026 Squad

The difference between locks and props isn't much these days. They swap a lot. But with his game, I'd say is much less likely to be injured as a prop than a backrower and much better suited to it. Remember Woolf tried to turn Plath into a backrower early last year. An unmitigated disaster.
  10. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

He's not fast or elusive enough to play in the backrow. And it's not like playing in the backrow is a picnic. I think he'd be more likely to pick up an injury playing in the backrow.

    No.

That's okay. Apparently playing as an edge backrower in the NRL is a tea party.

    Club DNA

It's a bit early to try to define it yet. Give Woolf a couple of years and see where we are.
  14. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

yeah, cause for a natural lock or middle forward, playing out of position as an edge backrower is so much easier...... FFS.
  15. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

He'll be fine unless he is injured again. As for playing in the backrow, he'll be "fine" but not a good backrower.
  16. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

Though not a fan of Gilbert in the backrow. IMO lock or a small prop are the only positions for him.
  17. Equaliser

Did Wayne Bennett sell out the Dolphins from the start?

I hadn't heard this before. Was a good game. Roosters were considered one of the premiership favourites.

Did Wayne Bennett sell out the Dolphins from the start?

But unlike Perth, PNGs pathways will be stacked. But it'll take a few years.
  19. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

Agree completely. Kodi has been good for us as a 5/8 but I still think his best position is #14.
  20. Equaliser

    2026 Squad

Burton has a good long kicking game but other than that, a rubbish 5/8. Good centre.
