    Plath and Flegler still a chance to play. Hammer, Cobbo and Bostock definitely out. Dolphins by 10 FTS - Isaako MOTM - JMK Katoa is still the big out but I expect Schneider to be much better today.

    I guess in the eyes of Billy Slater, Plath has surpassed Carrigan as a lock. That is also Cotter's last Origin game. He provides very little go-forward. NSW were hammering him.

    Tough game. A few 50-50 calls went their way but the better team on the night won. Ponga and Walker were pretty poor. Nanai should've been starting and Nikora not in the team.

    @mr_c, this is another of those one's like Katoa vs SOS, the superstar Kyle Flanagan and clubs able to get rid of a player early and not pay any of his salary to play elsewhere. Whether in the NRL, ESL or QLD Cup. Kodi will accept small unders at best. Being his last contract, even that...

    A club can't afford to have more than one good halfback on the books. Salary cap won't allow it. Unless we somehow re-sign Kodi and Williams is content to play for Redcliffe unless Katoa is injured.

    Were Cronulla bad? I didn't see the game but kept track of the score. With about 20 to go they were well ahead and looked like they might run away with it. I guess Broncos got a couple of late tries to make the score respectable.

    Have an excuse today. I don't know what happened to Fuller today but that will likely be his last game this year. Halfback is the major problem for the next few weeks.

    This is the criticism some people have, me included of Woolf. He gets an idea in his head, like Plath hooker, and just goes with it for far too long even when it isn't working. Schneider is not NRL standard.

    TBH, Newcastle have had the better of the early exchanges. We still start slow and come home fast a lot.
