Round 5: Dolphins vs Manly

The Dolphins are heavy favourites tonight and deserve that status despite their indifferent performances. A mainly dry track at Kayo against a winless (and coachless) team conceding 33 points a game= a chance for the Dolphins to score some serious points. It won't be quite as easy as that, but I do expect the boys to win comfortably in the end. A victory is vital ahead of the bye and a very tough game in Darwin.

Manly get the sugar hit of Seilbold no longer being coach.

On paper Manly are easily a top 6-8 side and I’ve had my suspicions that several Manly players been tanking games to force the change of coach. If we see certain players improve their efforts and involvements tonight this will confirm the tanking.

Massive danger game for Dolphins who are 1 from 6 the week after the Battle of Brisbane games.

Plath and Donoghoe a real key out of dummy half it’s an area where Dolphins feeling the absence of JMK and loss of Graham who’s thriving at Newcastle. In the new era of faster rucks and 6 agains Dolphins need spark out of dummy half.

You think so? I have the as a bottom 4 side. But I agree they'll come out fired up for this game. More than usual.

There are no first half standouts but Herbie has been less bad than the others.
