Another hard game given at least 5 of our first string forward pack will be out. Hopefully Kerr and Kenny B are back. Bostock gone now as well. Incredibly unlucky. I guess Feagai will come straight in for Bostock. Not sure how Fuller has been going in Cup but bringing him back and putting Hammer on the wing is also a possibility. TBH, it's been a very mediocre year for Hammer at fullback. Even if Fuller isn't going to come in, surely swapping Averillo and Hammer will come into consideration.

I don't know what's going on with Souths but apart from Walker, they seem to have all their big guns on board.

Cam Murray is a key casualty as well, but he has been gone all season. Junior Tupou might be in consideration for that wing spot as he has played well in Q Cup. I realise that they are trying to get rid of him before June 30 as they'd like to fill his spot with a prop, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the nod. Whatever the decision, Bostock is impossible to replace.

The current standings with a game to play in the round. The Dolphins fall to 9th, but that's a bit misleading as they have a bye in hand with those narrowly ahead of them (except for Cronulla). They also have a f/a that shits on all of them. A win next weekend followed by the bye will have them firmly entrenched in the 8. Now to get that win.

The Broncos with their comeback victory today now sit in 5th despite only having a .500 record. The NRL is bonkers this year. 11 wins will probably be enough to clinch a playoff spot this year. Maybe 10.

The top 4 is set in stone, but I still think Penrith and the Roosters to have a say in proceedings. The Broncos and Sharks are both shit, but one of them could fall ass backwards into the finals. I'd like to think the Dolphins can grab a spot, but an ever growing injury list may hinder that achievement. How good would they be with a full squad? They would be premiership contenders, undoubtedly. Definitely a team of the future.

The worst thing about the number of injuries to middle forwards is that we can't really go to the market for any unless they are willing to come only for the rest of this year.

If we overcome this a make the 8. ITS A MASSIVE EFFORT.

The injuries all in one position, on top of being a new club, is crippling, let alone if it happened to an established club.

No he isn't. I've been interested in the last few weeks at how much he has come on its been a while since he had a major FSJ moment and in general has massively reduced his error rate but still isn't anywhere near a top flight winger.

Gus is desperate to flick Zyon Mailuu was rated highly in January but hasn't fitted into the Bulldogs. Could be worth a development deal with the Bulldogs fitting most of the bill.

Dolphins health in the outside backs is good and aside from Bostock all available for selection. Take your pick from Fuller, Tupou, Feagai, Naufahu, Walsh or Nonu. Personally go with Fuller fullback, Hammer to the outside backs. Fuller has better tough carries need that with no petrol left in the forwards on the field, Fuller was an incumbent before injury having come into the side late last year, he would have played in Round 1 for sure and he's now made four very successful games back from injury. He's not playing with any support or strapping to the knee so he's full of confidence he was outstanding for Redcliffe on Saturday.

Fuller was great for Redcliffe on Saturday and back to full confidence he's now played 4 games in Cup

I think for once I might agree with Matt. Fuller or Averillo fullback and Hammer centre.

I see value in bringing Fuller back in at FB but I doubt the coach will do that at this stage. I suspect it will be Tupou on the wing as a big body for kick returns but maybe Fuller can find a spot on the bench for Harrison or Tawha if Kerr is still out

We will pass on helping the Dogs out of their salary cap mess.

Last year Dolphins took on Pangai Jnr on a basic deal they don't have a Top 30 spot available with Tevita Naufahu being promoted to Top 30. With 7 forwards out long-term Kaufusi added today adding a prop another club is basically willing to pay for onto the development roster could be very handy for the remainder of the year and Mailuu is back to being a Bulldogs issue next year.
