I take a lot of joy from saying this.

Mom hands down tonight was Josh Kerr.

He changed the game when he came on for Felise.

I’ve been hard from day one. Now I have seen what he can do, I want to see that again next week.

Well in, keep that up. So happy that you have proven me wrong tonight. My wife would love you to keep doing so.

because hes not a dolphins fan simple as that just a troll
He's ok. He supports the Dolphins, just not in relation to anything to do with the Bullgrubs. Dolphins are a distant second. For the most part, his posts are insightful but he owes an apology to Woolf. Has to admit he got it way wrong.

He does nothing but put shit on the dolphins, calls out players, staff, and this forum, the blokes a flog of the highest order.

I mean, some of his criticism has been true. And it was a good win last night but let's not hand them premiership rings just yet. In the early part of the season, a number of forwards were playing like they should have given the game away a year earlier. At the time it looked to me like Woolf was stubbornly sticking with them. And Finefuiaki was a big name import playing like QLD Cup backrower.

So I'm big enough to admit I was wrong. Last night Finefuiaki was an absolute menace and Woolf was right to stick with the old forwards like Nicholls. Is 2 257Matt big enough to admit he was wrong?

I may be wrong. But as I said a few weeks back. To me they looked like they had a hard preseason.

The forwards are starting to look a little better. Less flogged.

As I mentioned a few posts up. The Kerr change, changed the game. I don’t think Felise is a prop. Whilst he is filling in due to our prop shortage. I think this should be his last game in the 10. Once the bigger body of Kerr came on, it was a different game. When Molo is up to speed, he comes straight in for mine.

Katoa’s performance was of the highest order. He manages the side well. And when creating he has the best defences in two minds. The double pump for lemuelu, his kicking game, his defence, his taking the ball to the line in two hands, his change of direction, his subtle changes in tempo, All top notch. He will at some stage in his career be called the best 7 in the comp. I have no doubt. We need to be giving him a 10 year contract.

Does Mr.c still want SoS? Thank fuck I put him on ignore. Gave me a fucking headache that fella.

An excellent game and great result. to be fair to Mat that Pap try was embarrassing.

Josh was outstanding, I don't think anyone had a bad game and that is more important to me than one or two people having great games. Across the board consistency. Even Jack had a solid game with no howlers. Yes he was out jumped by his opposite number and at 9ft tall I'm not sure how, he got one back as well as made some great try saving plays to push the ball dead.

What's Ray Stone so miserable about? Scores probably the match winning try and gets up frowning.

Gotta love that guy, plays his heart out week in week out never gets the credit and when he does something genuinely worth high praise still has a face like a smacked arse.

Yeah I love him. I love the stone cold face after a try. Its almost like there is still a job to do with him. Close to my favourite player, because he does all the hard work.

True. And with Plath out, he'll be playing a lot more minutes.

At the time Paps scores it's 16-2, it was soft as butter with the markers not working and it looked like being one of those nights. Storm are flat track bullies and to beat them you really need to put them off Plan A they haven't been able to grind or switch plans mid game since Cameron Smith retired.

Whatever Kristian Woolf has done in recent weeks been a great turnaround after the first four games it looked horrible and looking at the draw with Titans who had two big wins in a row, the grand finalists and a much improved Canberra it was like a win was a mile away.

Two things have impressed me about Woolf in the last 3 weeks and he is showing signs he can be the first post-Bennett coach aside from Sheens (not a handover appointment) to be a success. First one was Dolphins have fixed up some of their defensive flaws bar the odd lapse here & there. Against Tigers they let in something like 3 tries from around the dummy half area isolating markers and once getting Nikorima without defensive support. Another thing is the attack is now not Kimmorley style which is suiting Katoa and the 3 speed players Dolphins have Hammer, Herbie and Averillo. Coaches like politicians normally see things after we the fans or viewers see them so thumbs up to Woolf.

When one makes critical analysis they also give praise and total praise to Woolf.

I wasn't the only one calling for changes so many after the first four rounds wanted Donoghoe dropped he's been outstanding all season and getting better every game. He didn't miss a beat playing at dummy half against Storm and is playing that utility and fix it role so very well.

Winning breeds confidence and quietens any potential outside noise. Josh Kerr in his post game interview he said quote "you learn very quickly it's a business and they don't really give a s***" when talking about playing for love of a club and he won't be taken advantage of again. Whether this is about Dragons taking advantage of him who knows but sums up the NRL that it's 100% about winning and everything else is secondary.

When we talked about likely players to feature in the 17 I said all along Donoghoe will be the utility on the bench and one of the first picked for the bench.

I said there would be a regeneration of the squad with the older players being fazed out and not used on a week to week basis. We have now seen Bromwich relegated to just 16 minutes this season. With injuries to Flegler and Plath plus Lemuelu and Keeley being eased back from off season surgeries it will mean some play extra games but if Woolf has players available the older forwards will be rested as they don't have the week to week legs anymore the juice has been squeezed out.

A few things people haven't noticed that I liked.

1) someone on here or Twitter pointed out Herbie gave Bostock a bake after the final try Storm scored I liked Herbie's attitude no matter the score you play until the end.
2) a loose ball on the ground Dolphins have often tried to pick it up or just watch it where they end up the other team wins a captains challenge more often Donoghoe dived on it didn't try to do anything else except scrap for it.
3) Isaako positioning for the Storm cross field kick he started and lept from inside his ingoal and even though he caught the ball well into the field of play he assured Dolphins of a 7 tackle set instead of the potential to be pushed back into the ingoal by catching it more back footed.

They're just little things that make a massive difference.

Another thing I liked so much about the win other than coming from 16-2 down against the favourites is Dolphins scored 7 tries and Storm largely done a containment job on Hammer and none of their 7 tries were long range individual efforts from Hammer, Averillo or Herbie they were well constructed yet entertaining tries.

Kuli played the full 80 for the first time this year and Lemuelu will probably need some more minutes now with Plath gone.

A lot to like about Friday if you turn on after the Paps try. Big game against Canberra next week a side who's put together 4 outstanding wins and 2 absolute horrors no in betweens written before todays game vs Titans.

Other than Bulldogs bolting away the competition has really opened up with flaws being exposed into Brisbane, Melbourne, Penrith, Manly and Cronulla this season so it's not a clear cut top 6 as so many me included expected. Dolphins really need to string some really consistent wins together and not slack off.

Losing Plath is savage he's such a valuable player, loads of energy and on young legs.

Your determination to get the Bullgrubs into every post is sometimes funny, sometimes annoying. I'll just say I'm looking forward to the Dolphins playing them in round 12. I hope the game isn't Origin affected. Before Penrith started winning everything, almost every year 1 team got out to a fast start but collapsed in the second part of the season. I think this will happen with the Grubs.

All I said Dolph Dolph and it’s fact aside from Bulldogs bolting away on the ladder the rest of the competition is really congested ladder wise and a lot of teams are getting flaws exposed in them. I think I praised Canberra for being the one side to put four really dominant performances together and two horror shows no in betweens. It’s opening up for Dolphins but need a good outcome with Plath injury he’s too important to lose.

Another player I want to praise is Tom Gilbert and I never really got some calling for him to be on the bench. Gilbert getting better every game.

Flegler is progressing a lot better than reports. Fingers crossed it’s still this season yes I talk to someone connected to him, Herbie and Kerr.
