If we don't win this, forget about finals. Start building for next year. I know losing first 5 and still making the finals has been done before but not in a competition this even.

People post articles from other sources all the time I posted what Nick Tedeschi wrote for discussion on whether he's right, wrong or in between.
Is the team woefully unfit? Yes.
Is Hammer struggling? Yes
I can't open betting related sites except for NRL.com on my PC sorry about that I can only open it on my phone.
Only 3 clubs will never ever sack their coaches and 1 won't in the next 3 years regardless of results.
Bellamy along with Ponissi run the Storm and both have a job for life there.
Whilst Nathan Cleary is playing his Dad is safe at Penrith.
Stuart is Canberra he and his best mate run the Raiders.
Bennett is at Souths to navigate them to the post-Mitchell era both Mitchell and Bennett off contract same time.
Every other coach is judged on results, culture and internal player noise.

- Is Hammer struggling? Yes. No shit. The entire forum has been saying it all season.
Josiah Paluhu is the first Titans player I would target. Gould went all in for him late last year on the proviso of an immediate release even leaking stories to the media after Hasler shafted him a 40k pay rise Titans said no to a release. Gus has since gone a bit cold and gone ahead and signed an alpha prop Leo Thompson for next year, have a future alpha prop from the Warriors now in the system training to be NRL ready for next year which is what they wanted with Paluhu, got Todd & Hayes now in NRL and Underhill a product from Kawana Waters will play Origin for QLD one day. So Paluhu who Gus viewed as a project alpha prop is wide open ready to nab and I reckon if Reader gives Hasler a call & meet for a coffee they could probably organise the release by yesterday.
Dolphins have 3 props retiring or being told to retire at seasons end, Waqa has now been relegated to BRL A/Grade (Redcliffe Reserves), Teague is unlikely to be retained and Walsh needs to show something in QCup very soon. So far Dolphins only have Sua and Knowles coming into the team plus Rasmussen being promoted to Top 30 as per his contract on the NRL website. Paluhu be the perfect signing.
Another player I look at is Jaylen De Groot when all are available he's stuck behind some traffic at Titans, young and lightning quick.
One player at Titans I really think is heading for his best season barring injury is Jayden Campbell. Hasler now has him settled into one position and his performances have got better in the last 3 games he's played. His pack is making metres for him and they're opening space for him on the football field.

Equaliser I apologise for that normally I would it's just the weekly reviews Nick.T does which I read from his Twitter account I can't open on my PC and I explained that.We get puff pieces in the Moreton Daily, we get Broncos slated pieces in the Courier Mail and we get bombastic views from people not inside the club with no allegences anywhere.
I really hope and would like to think this is Ciraldo 2023 for Woolf this year and the players just aren't understanding his systems remember worst defence for nearly two decades and only a few wins due to fluke kicks or opposition miskicks (Isaako being one of them) saved them from a spoon in 2023. The difference for Ciraldo is that Gould was happy and willing to axe players that refused to buy into his defensive system, recruited players to give them a chance too and cut them if they failed to aim up defensively or at training with the brutal fitness & long hours they do. Woolf doesn't have a GM of Football or even a Recruitment Manager next to him of any note so he has to make the tough calls himself to get the players to buy into his systems and he needs to find ways to up the ante at training. Bennett because of his standing and awe put ownership on the players to keep themselves fit outside of training hours but rookie coaches don't have that awe or trust so have to lead the way and set the map on the training field so to speak. Benji flicked Klemmer and Bateman he showed the mettle not to back down.
I love nothing more than to see the Dolphins thriving and winning premierships. Redcliffe should have been the licence instead of Crushers all those years ago and it's been criminal the ARL/NRL have allowed Broncos to have such a monopoly on the second biggest league city in the world and such a passionate league city. I really hope Woolf is setting up new structures and if players aren't buying in or understanding or putting in the hard yards either Woolf needs to adapt or he needs to axe the players who won't step up & bring in players who are willing to do the hard yards.

The winless Dolphins need the real Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow to stand up, but he will also need help against an in-form Gold Coast.
The allure of the man known as "Hammer" is his match winning capacity and ability, when on song, to create something out of nothing.
That was on display last year in the 30-28 win over Cronulla in round 15 when he ran the length of the field in a brilliant solo exhibition of speed, power and balance to score against the run of play.
The Dolphins have not seen that kind of flair from him this year. That is not his fault.
Their outside backs, apart from centre Herbie Farnworth, have all been well below their best and there haven’t been many opportunities created by halves Kodi Nikorima and Isaiya Katoa for him either, despite both having flashes of brilliance.
Tabuai-Fidow did not make a run until the 25th minute of last week's 20-12 loss to Brisbane but did finish with 155m and seven tackle breaks.
The Queensland star has not scored a try or made a line break in four matches. Last year he scored 15 tries and made 10 line breaks in 16 games.
Ahead of Saturday night's away clash, Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf said Tabuai-Fidow was close to unleashing his best.
“I thought he showed some real signs of that last week," Woolf said.
“He showed real signs of him moving around the ball and sniffing around for opportunities.
“They’re going to come up.
“He showed a lot more out of the back-field in terms of how he got to the ball and returned the footy.
“It’s up to us as a team to find him more opportunities."
The Dolphins, after four consecutive losses, are also playing without the belief that permeated their play under Wayne Bennett.
“The whole team is a little down in that area," Woolf said.
“We need to own our own roles.
“If we do that really well then we’ll build confidence and get everyone into the game, including Hammer.
“We had a plan in the pre-season that we think will work for us and nothing’s changed,
“We can’t look at the results and throw everything out the window. It’s a good plan and we’ll stick to it and execute it."
Due to their own errors, the Dolphins have also done far too much defending.
This has taken the sting out of hooker Jeremy Marshall-King in attack. The wily Dolphins rake was leading the NRL tackle count with 192 after four rounds.

“He’s taking time to work out what he’s doing. If Daly decides he wants to talk to us, when he has made his mind up, then we will talk."

Dolphins NRL Head Coach Kristian Woolf says the way his players have handled a tough first four rounds gives him confidence they will turn their season around sooner rather than later.
Woolf faced the media after this morning’s Captain’s Run training session, which had a focus on attack.
The squad appeared to be in good spirits and focused on fine-tuning combinations and attack plans.
“We’re looking good. We’ve had another good week of preparation. That’s something that’s been a bit positive for us,” Woolf said.
The Dolphins are winless, after four rounds, and face the Titans at the Gold Coast tomorrow (round five, 4.30pm kick off).
“We know that we just need to keep improving, keep wanting to compete and that’s something I’ve really likes from our blokes … they’ve turned up on a Monday with an honesty, turned up on a Monday with a smile and there hasn’t been a game yet where we haven’t really been competing right until the end,” he explained.
“That says to me we’re going to turn it around and we’re going to turn it around sooner rather than later.
“We had a little bit of disruption around the start of the year and it’s an easy thing to lose – that attention to detail and that little bit of confidence in the things that you’re doing.
“We’re building that back up. (If) we get the attention to detail right, we’re going to stop finding ourselves in challenging positions as often as we are.”
Woolf said the focus this week had been on every member of the squad ‘owning their roles’.
“If you look at us, defensively, last week we did a really good job for long periods but when we have our lapses, they tend to hurt us. It’s a little bit the same with the ball,” he said.
“There’s no doubt we made too many errors last week. We almost doubled their errors and a lot of those were in the back field, which just puts you under too much pressure.
“There’s a couple of little clean-ups there for us, but they’re easy clean-ups as well.”
He said the plan the squad developed during the preseason was still one he believed would work for them.
“Nothing’s changed there. We can’t just look at the results and think that means we throw everything out the window. We had a plan. I think it’s a good plan … we (need to) stick to that and we (need to) execute that,” Woolf said.
“Once we start executing that, we can really build some confidence off the back of that.”
Confidence is something the Titans have in spades after a strong start to the season and coming off a 30-12 win over the Roosters in round four.
“I see a team that’s playing with some confidence and when you’re playing with confidence, you tend to defend well and you tend to have some confidence with what you do with the ball as well,” Woolf said.
He conceded confidence had taken a hit at the Dolphins, but said heads were still up.
“When you don’t win games, obviously that is the biggest challenge is playing with some confidence and really backing yourself,” Woolf said.
“I think the whole team’s just a little bit down in that area at the moment. What we need to do is we need to own our own roles. If we do that well, we’re going to build confidence off the back of that and we’ll get everyone into the game including Hammer.

but theres huge thing with dogs un gus at us we needed to lay a platform , and it wil take time we just aint got the guys to do what your say we not blessed with strong, 30 yet even some of guys we have in 17 shouldn't be there but theres so much injurys going on they have be there

you also need ask yourself notice gus limited use of home grown talent he rather poach guys from other teams past used by ( case in point go look at there forwards stats cam mac only one consistent )
