I saw a trial where Walsh, Staggs, Arthurs, Cobbo, Hunt, Reynolds, Haas, Carrigan all played.

The only concern in that trial was Burton looked sluggish his kicking game tonight will be immense it's a little bit windy in Sydney today.

Do you think Woolf made the mistake letting Hubner and Te Whare go?
You're right. And all taken off after 15~20 min:rolleyes: Yet, Broncos still dominated that unorganised, slow and unfit Dogs team.

Thanks. Mistake getting rid of Hubner and Te Whare?

The same issues with Dolphins last year still exist now getting to leads only to lose games, inability to see match awareness, being stripped for numbers on the edges, players not coming up with the effort plays, some players only going through the motions of the pay cheque (transit lounge), fitness and concentration.

Hubner came through from the Capras system and just flicked like that. He killed the Dolphins last night.

This is a silly argument. I agree Dogs are rubbish but lets give it until Origin period. Until then, who knows?

Tupou ran for that many metres? How many did Isaako run for? About 400?
Isaako notched up 176 m and had a blinder. Tesi Nui used to accumulate a lot of metreage and struggled for the most part. Tupou was awful. He has bulked up in the off season and now has the pace of Edrick Lee. Bostock was terribly missed last night. The less we see of Junior will be a giant positive for the club.

LJ Nonu should be in the team

Almost certainly true. Recruited every second decent player on the market for a few years and still, fringe top 8 at best!
Good administrators and coaches recruit the right players Gould is aiming to be better than Penrith, Melbourne and Brisbane maybe Dolphins should have a win at all costs mentality instead of happy to participate. Tupouniua was an absolute beast and gift from Politis.

1. too many mistakes
2. lack of punch forwards in the middle.
3. hammer is not a fullback we really really miss fuller.

Knock the mistakes on the head and it would have been a win so that's a positive.

2 257Matt, are Bulldogs incredibly unfit or what's going on there? Even though Dragons lost a forward to an ACL early, they still dominated the Bulldogs for the last 20 min of each half. If they didn't have by far the worst halves combo in the competition, would've easily beaten the Bulldogs. Good news is that I don't think either of those teams are going to trouble the top 8.

Manly on the other hand are a top 4 team. Top 4 will be in no particular order:
  • Penrith
  • Manly
  • Melbourne
  • Broncos

Lol n means nothing he ain't ready
Sad part is that the Dolphins are fast becoming a retired and journeymen transit lounge where good talent juniors from the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions will go to other clubs whilst the Dolphins cling onto players who should have retired more than a year ago or are middle of the road journeymen that are capable of one good performance in their careers.

The good kids are just going to leave for better opportunities and more professional coaching.

There's a clear top 6 adding in Cronulla and Canterbury than daylight to the rest.

I went to the game yesterday and got prime seats in the grandstand on the 40m line so saw the action from a good spot. Canterbury played at a much different pace and had the game sealed at 28-6. Saints are way above Dolphins this year and on their home soil Canterbury done a number on them.

There's only 3 coaches in the game today who make the calls and don't keep passengers within a club being Cleary, Bellamy and Gould they're all a step ahead of the rest. Bennett is unique to everyone else in that he coaches and manages his team his own way and done the same principle all the way through it only works for Bennett and no one else. He's a step behind the other three in today's game.

The problem for Bennett successors is they think they can carry same teams like Bennett and have the same philosophies it doesn't work. Whether Woolf lasts 2.5 seasons like Demetriou or less than a season like Stone he's heading down the same path. It's disappointing because the Dolphins should have offered a lot more and Greater Brisbane needs more than 1 side it needs more than 2.

You really are up your own arse, you do know we have only been in the competition 2 years , what do you expect in regards to local juniors coming through it takes time. And as for journey men who you referring to. The club is building a team you can’t buy that you should know that with the Penrith 2nd team you lot have bought or are they all local players you have.
