In a huge boost Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is set to return at fullback, creating a huge headache for Wayne Bennett regarding Trai Fuller who was once again excellent in Round 10. Fuller could remain on the bench as a utility, but it remains to be seen if he fits into the side. If he remains in the team he will take the place of Kurt Donoghue. Max Plath also suffered a head knock, so he could be forced to sit out of Magic Round.

I'd definitely go with Fuller over Donoghue. I noticed he has been moving into dummy half quite a lot to give JMK a rest. Obviously Wayne has told him to do it.

If Plath is out, I think:
  • Kafusi lock
  • Aitken and Lemuelu second row
  • Nichols, J. Bromwich, Kerr and Keeley prop rotation.
Not a bad pack at all!

Tigers fans are apparently very unhappy. A bit of noise about Benji as coach. I think they are going to be really fired up for this. It would be a mistake to take them lightly like we did Newcastle.

fuller not playing thomas flegler sounds like hes not going be ready for rest of season

Max Plath won’t play for the Dolphins this week - failed to return after a HIA late in the Round 10 game & will now have to pass through concussion protocols. Involves at least an 11 day stand down

Bennett conceded to AAP on Tuesday that “he could, absolutely” not play again this season.

“We don’t know with Flegler. He may not play this season,” Bennett said.

“It is a long way from where he is fit enough to play. The injury is very serious. He has had the injury and we all know what the consequences are.”

At this point I only hope he recovers for next season. I think nerve damage can't be fixed. Only heal itself or not.

Fingers crossed for him. Sounds like it's not improving.

I think there are some surgical procedures they can try but I don't think any are considered a sure thing for success. It's a big worry. The good news is that the team is sailing pretty well without him. But gee, it'd be good to have him for some big games that will surely be coming after the Origin series.

Dolphins by 8
MoM = Niko
First try = Isaako

  • Dolphins by 20
  • MoM - JMK
  • First try - Hammer

Speaking of magic round, Broncos were very lucky to get away with that game. That last penalty which they kicked a field goal from was an utter farce. If they get their best team on the field of course they'll be hard to beat but it seems they have very little depth in the forwards. I can't wait until we play them, hopefully near full strength. In the 3 times we have played them, each time we have been injury depleted.
