It must be such a pain in the arse at these dinosaur clubs with mixed success and no DNA.

If NQ beat the Broncos tonight, you would have to image that the top 8 will stay as it is now. I mean the position of the top 8 teams might change but the same teams that are in now will remain in. Even though we have handily beaten them twice this year, I continue to believe NQ are a dark-horse.

If Canterbury and Manly both lose I agree.

Cowboys wont win the comp. Penrith are looking beatable. We are looking a real chance if Katoa comes back firing. Sharks are a myth with Nico being fragile, and the Roosters will crack. Warriors are well coached and looking likely too.

This year more then ever the top 4 looks important.

Their season was over when they got beat by StG at Suncorp. They used up all their luck during last year's finals. Without the luck and the sublime form of Walsh, they are a very poor side.
Ezra Mam had a blinder in the losing GF against Penrith but other than that, I've never seen him have a really good game but have seen plenty of bad ones. Ben Hunt should've hung up the boots at the end of last season.

Top 4 is now locked just the order to be determined but IMO the Wahs will be 4th.

Spots 5 to 9 are all up in the air Dolphins are most likely a lock but who misses out between Rabbitohs, Knights, Cowboys and Bulldogs will be interesting. I think most likely Knights or Rabbitohs miss out.

The rest are no chance.

Top 4 isn't locked. We have games coming up against teams with no chance of making the finals. We only have one more game against a team in the top 8 (Roosters in the second last round). I know Cronulla have been winning games by a lot but the game against us was just pathetic on our part, then they had free-falling Tigers and then free-falling Manly.

Warriors coach has to recall Metcalf. I won't make a prediction on them until I see how they go with Metcalf. With the current half-back, I can't see them winning another game.

I'd say top 8 is locked in. Bulldogs are 2 points behind Cowboys but for and against makes it so they are basically 2 wins behind. I expect the Cowboys to rise from 8th. They are a good team. Broncos played very well the other day and Cowboys beat full-strength Penrith only a couple of weeks ago.

he wont recal luke , i actually dont mind if we in the 5 or lower as it mean we can get one of the teams below us getting one the teams above us first round will be tougher task and our diff is still okish

I dont think there is a team taking the comp by the scruff of thr neck yet.

Its a weird one this year.

Penrith look beatable
Warriors hittong a rough patch
Roosters unconvincing
Sharks rocks or diamonds. Currently diamonds
Dolphins see sharks. But rocks against sharks.

Wont bother with the rest as they have no hope

I think Cowboys are capable of winning several games in a row, similar to the Broncos last year. Other than that, I'd say it will be hard to stop a Penrith-Sydney GF. i was really hopeful for us until that Sharks game. Now I hope we can make it but realistically, I doubt it.

In the years of the Top 8 1995-96 1999-current only one side has won the premiership outside the Top 4 being Canterbury in 1995 and they had 3 things in their favour all the ARL semi-finals bar one game were based in Sydney giving them a huge leg ups when in today's era they would have traveled to Brisbane week 2 and Canberra week 3, experience of being in the GF the year before and they had the best player in the competition in their side. It's a virtual undefeated record and no side has won it the closest Parramatta in 2009 when Jarryd Hayne hit a very peak patch of form and was the best player in the competition.

Finishing Top 4 is everything.

Sharks have the softest draw home they're a lock for Top 3.

Warriors are the only doubtful side in the Top 4.

Dolphins have a couple of bogey sides to play in Red Hill, Manly and full strength Roosters.

Sharks do have a soft draw but Souths this week and Melbourne in the last round might be hard games. Also the Titans aren't easy beats anymore. Arguable it's softer than our draw. Manly are a bogey team for us but so were we for the Sharks until a couple of weeks ago. Manly will continue to be a bogey team until they aren't. That will be in round 24 this year.
