Looking good so far.
Literally took the words out of my mouth. How good is Melbourne's defence! I can't fault us too much due to the list of those injured but still, we could do well to watch how Melbourne defend.

Roosters are a very different side without Walker - his kicking game in the attacking 20 is the best in the comp, particularly with two huge targets on the wings. I know the Storm have rested a few tonight but I'm sure they would consider the Roosters a much bigger threat in the finals than the Dolphins so let's hope - for their sake and ours - that they can finish the job in the second half

damn. We just have to beat the Titans then hope they lose to Souffs. If Canberra win this round, they will have the minor premiership sealed so you would think would rest a number of players for our game.

Another nail in the coffin. I didn't watch the game as we are exploring Kyoto tonight. Hopefully, the Dolphins can finish their season off on a positive note. Starting 0-4 was always going to come back to bite them. A devastating injury toll further sealed their fate for season 2025.

The injury problems this year are preparing us for an incredible amount of depth next year. Though lets not start handing out premiership rings just yet. And lets get though this round to keep us alive, at least mathematically, for another week.

  • Dolphins by 16 (two tackle-shy teams. Whichever team wins will do by a pretty big margin, IMO)
  • MoM - JMK
  • FTS - Averillo

That seals the minor premiership for Canberra. I guess they will go for basically a reserve grade team next week. So it's up to us to beat the Titans tomorrow and hope good ol Wayne gets Souths up for an upset over the Roosters next week.

Only time will tell but I wouldn't bank on Raiders resting many - they had a bye just two weeks ago and will get another week off if they win their first semi so fatigue is not a huge issue for them. Maybe any niggling injuries will be given a week off but I doubt they'll "do a Penrith"

Surely they'll at least rest a few key players. Like Tapane and Fogerty for 2.

High scoring but close game.

A win today will extend the playoff hunt till the final weekend of the season for the second consecutive year. But, unlike this year, the Dolphins controlled their own destiny and fell short. Both teams have players that can hurt you and both teams are woeful defensively. I have no idea how this one will shape up. Flip a coin.

Dolphins by 4.
FTS- Naufahu
MOTM- JMK.

I know it went pear-shaped in the second half but Dolphins players in the first day of the pre season need to watch how Melbourne defended against the Roosters on Thursday. Roosters were dominating field position but Melbourne just wouldn't give up and the end result was 0 first half points.

I disagree with the coach regarding Katoa as captain. He's too young. Needs to concentrate on his game.

Some of the softest defence I’ve seen this year from the Titans.

Sometimes our boys are a bit too ambitions. Fine in a game like this but a bad habit to get into when facing teams that tackle.
