Katoa is too young to be captain.Disgracful performance. Would say wholesale dropping needs to happen but everyone who might come in is injured.
We aren't winning it this year.
But now things have been evened up a bit in regard to injuries, expect us to handily beat the Broncos next week. That was very obvious weeks before this game.
Was it the Roosters second try when Hammer came in to tackle a Roosters player who was well and truly wrapped up already, leaving their winger free to stroll over? Ridiculous! But Niko was probably our worst.Hammer at fullback needs to be reviewed. Lazy, doesn’t organise the defence, particularly on the goal line and he won’t make hard carries. Put him in the centres to cover for Herbie and give Fuller a go at fullback. At least he will try to run through the brick wall.
Handily? Are you sure? A 54 point loss at home against a team lower in the standings in a vital match= the Dolphins have hit the wall. In fact, they have smashed head on into it.But now things have been evened up a bit in regard to injuries, expect us to handily beat the Broncos next week.
Unfortunately I think this is correct. I've been negative on this year for a while. About when Bostock went down. I just thought the injury toll is too much. Since then it has of course gotten worse still.Handily? Are you sure? A 54 point loss at home against a team lower in the standings in a vital match= the Dolphins have hit the wall. I'm not counting them out vs the Bronx as both teams are eerily similar. Both are struggling. Both are vulnerable and both have significant injury tolls. The winner of this game might sneak out a playoff spot. I don't see both of them making it. The fact that we still have our entire spine might give us the advantage. Our forwards are decimated, but they have Carrigan and a broken down Haas. They have nothing else.
The Broncos are in huge trouble. For the second straight year, they are battling the Dolphins (who have been around for 5 mins) for a playoff spot. The Dolphins sent them packing last year with a 40-6 victory.
Whatever happens for the remainder of the year, I am still of the opinion that the Dolphins are building something special for the future. They may even contend for the title as early as next year. Imagine this team with a full squad. Surely, their luck turns on the injury front. The Broncos, on the other hand, are set for more years of futility. The Dolphins will assume the mantle of Brisbane's #1 team sooner than most think.
That is a very strong side with the likes of Fuller, Knowles, Averillo, Feagai, Stone, Schneider and Kaufusi (possibly) as depth. Arguably, the best roster in the comp. Now, if they only can get them on the field all at the same time.Unfortunately I think this is correct. I've been negative on this year for a while. About when Bostock went down. But it's going to set us up even better for next year. What highly regarded forward in particular is going to get a tap on the shoulder? Is Averillo on the outer? I rate him but where is he going to fit in next year? I can only see 5/8 with Kodi on the bench but then what about Donoghue?
A bit off topic but anyway. Round 1 next years team:
Gilbert has to eat a lot and spend a lot of time in the gym in the off season because he's a prop now.
- Hammer (needs to pull his socks up! Yesterdays game wasn't near good enough.)
- Bostock
- Cobbo
- Herbie
- Isaako
- Niko
- Katoa
- Flegler
- JMK
- Saifiti
- Finefuiaki
- Keeley
- Plath
- Donoghue
- Gilbert
- Lemuelu
- Molo
Su'a has played four tier 3 games this year. He is long odds in jumping two levels by March. Knowles, like all British imports, is the great uncertainty. He might find the NRL too fast for him. He definitely is not guaranteed a regular spot next year.knowles be in starting role oryn wont be starting su'a be on the bench somewhere too if mark dont stay it be intresting on few things how they use molo or su'a or both who be 2nd row and 2nd row rotation , don't see jake outta the frame ( even if selwyn is coming if he enjoys it here i dont see him going ) and see him extended , also how they use fuis ( will he be second row or a prop) also the fact we still intrested in williams does that mean after next season is kodi gone

Woolf coached him for 3 years, so must be pretty certain he will make it . It’s the English half's that struggle to make it out here not the forwards.Su'a has played four tier 3 games this year. We are both playing stating the obvious. That was very obvious weeks before this game.
